Newspaper Article featuring Laura Joseph:  Artist-wineseller turns author with 'I Lived in Ohio, Too'

Now available!  A new book by Laura Joseph titled I Lived in Ohio, Too (click for details).

Laura works in her garden studio (right) in Westerville, Ohio, surrounded by trees, flowers, and wildlife.  Her yellow lab, Mika, slumbers on the studio couch while she paints into the night.

For over thirty years Laura has been interpreting the world around her through her artwork and has worked in numerous media, including watercolor, acrylic, pastel and collage.  Her work is included in many private collections across the country.

Although frequent travels have inspired her throughout her career, her Ohio home and landscape are her present muse, aided by the unique insight of her faithful canine.

Together they roam the countryside and contemplate the changing seasons. Back in the studio Laura works to understand and interpret through art our relationship to nature and our place within it, while the hound, of course, snores away the hours until its time to hit the road again.

Aside from creating her own work, Laura has taught and encouraged many young art students over the years to find their individual voices and to express themselves through the visual arts because she believes that understanding the universality of Self is what art is all about.
