Tempest 2000

Background: You can play classic Tempest, Tempest Plus which adds some options to the original, and Tempest 2000 which adds new graphics, power ups, and enemies. You also get keys to save your progress on T2K and there is a harder Beastly Mode after you have completed the 100 levels in T2K. All the while you get a techno soundtrack which was also made into a separate audio cd.

Game Play: At first I was not really impressed with the game, however that was only at first blush. As I invested some time I realized what great potential this game has and that it fufills that potential to the max. Start with the original or plus version and get the targeting down. Then move up to T2K and you are in for the ride of your life. This addicting game will keep you rivited as the techno blast booms in the background and enemies try to take you out. I really enjoy all the powerups in T2k which give you added fire power and even a droid to help you destroy enemies. This is a must have!
